Identifying her lifelong passion at an early age, Hannah Selleck has dedicated her life to equestrian sports.

About

Having grown up on a ranch in southern California, horses have been an integral part of Selleck’s life for as long as she can remember. The now FEI rider first began her riding journey at Spruce Meadows near Calgary on a school horse while her father was filming a Western in the area. Not long after, Selleck got her start in the show ring at the age of 10 and never turned back.

Despite a significant leg injury in 2018, Selleck’s dedication to the sport never faltered. After months of intense physical therapy and recovery, Selleck was back in the competition ring with reinvigorated passion and has spent the recent years working alongside some of the most recognizable names in the sport.

Today, Selleck competes up to the 4* level with a recent win in the 2023 CSI2* Grand Prix at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Miami Beach aboard Billy de Beaufour. She has a presence in equestrian hubs across North America, wintering in Florida but also frequenting southern California where her facility, Descanso Farm, is based. Calgary will always live within the tapestry of Selleck’s competitive pursuits as the area holds an undeniable sense of sentimentality from her early days on lesson horses to her now status as a decorated FEI rider. When Selleck is not on the road competing, she calls New York home. With plans to spend a portion of the summer months in Europe, Selleck is focused on building her international presence as a top global equestrian.

Following 10 years of running a successful breeding operation at Descano Farm, Selleck has shifted her program’s focus to the development of top-quality sale horses and the advancement of horses’ show careers, both her own personal mounts and those of clients.
